Although humans and animals differ in many ways, some recent advances in human medicine are also very useful in our veterinary patients. One of these advances include diagnostic ultrasound, which has proven to be a very powerful tool in veterinary medicine. Here at Roosevelt Veterinary Center, one of our goals is to offer state-of-the-art medicine and diagnostic imaging. So we are proud to offer diagnostic ultrasound services as a means of providing a higher level of quality care to our patients. We also have the capability to send our images directly to board certified radiologists if and when we need to.
Pictured above is Dr. Goldstein performing an abdominal ultrasound on her dog Max. Like Max, many of our patients DO NOT require sedation as this procedure is not painful or uncomfortable.
